We will have the shop open about 9 or so with the demos beginning at 10 with Duane Leach leading off, followed by the Kobra demo by Al Crandall. A break for lunch at 12 with Lyle Jamieson leading off the afternoon session. After that will be Vince Welch, Jason Swanson (segmented work), Dick Coers, and ending with a discussion on selecting and cutting blanks from logs.
The main demo lathe will be a Powermatic 4224 with a 4224 over in the shop as an open machine all day. In the big tent we will have a Jet 1642, a 1236, and a mini as open machines. Lyles mini and Al's mini will be setup with their respective hollowing rigs for hands on work all day.
There will be 2 or 3 8" grinders for sharpening with one setup with Don Geigers tooling on one. There will also be a Work Sharp and 1 or 2 Tormeks along with a chain saw sharpener. All the grinders will be open for Plane blades, chisels, and chains throught the day.
We will also be making specialty tools out in the tent periodically during the day.
The youth group will be setting up tents for serving and eating so there will be plenty of area under cover regardless of weather.
Friday will be setup day and when that is finished we will probably find something to turn and tall tales to spin. -- Ray Thompson
